A culinary journey through time

For this special lunch, history buff Jean-François Vassal will be hosting a discussion on the customs, symbols and anecdotes surrounding meals from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. It's an opportunity to find out how food was served, in what order, and with what codes and rituals.

Our chefs will be serving up a menu inspired by history:

  • Red Hypocras, an emblematic drink of the Middle Ages
  • Chevalier soup
  • Traditional Cassoulet
  • Occitan Pastis

An exclusive bonus: experience medieval fencing

And to extend the experience, an introduction to medieval fencing is on offer on Saturday 17 May at 10.30 am, in the school's well courtyard.
Registration required.

Supervised by enthusiasts, this initiation will plunge you into the gestures and techniques of the fighters of the Middle Ages. A fun and instructive experience, in a setting steeped in history.
