Originally, the term "Dinée" was used to designate the inn where you stopped to eat during a journey. The "Dinée" had to be the same height as the "coucher".
A gastronomic restaurant nurtured by the creativity of its Chef, La Dinée du Viguier in Figeac offers seasonal cuisine inspired by local produce. Gourmets and connoisseurs are welcomed to savour the flavours in the newly refurbished guards' room of the château.

On Sunday 13 April, join Stéphane, president of the Aquí l'Òc association, and let yourself be carried away by the flavours of yesteryear and Occitan traditions. Hypocras, Chevalier's green soup, traditional cassoulet, Occitan Pastis... so many emblematic flavours that bring the culinary soul of Occitanie back to life.

Since February 2025, Grégory Diu has been the new chef at La Dinée du Viguier, bringing with him his passion for the region and its riches. Faithful to local flavours, he creates an authentic and generous cuisine, highlighting the products of the Quercy and Lot regions. A lover of seasonal ingredients, he creates balanced, gourmet dishes where each dish tells a story.
Our restaurant has a real passion for heritage and local produce. With a rich and varied history, we strive to make the most of our local heritage as much as possible on our plates. Local producers who share our values, local distribution channels, respect for the living world and a preference for raw produce are the driving force behind our values on a daily basis.
